The feeding programme.
In Zhytomyr, approximately 100 miles from Kyiv, missionary Tammy Swailes and Pastor Lena Kulakova run a daily feeding programme serving 20 to 30 children. Seeway Trust funded the construction and equipping of the kitchen that makes this possible.
For just £7 to £10 per month, a child receives one substantial meal each day. Through the feeding programme, many children also engage with church activities, finding community and hope alongside nourishment.

Tammy has lived in Eastern Europe since 1999, directing the INSTE programme and connecting local churches with international support. Her deep roots in the region make her an invaluable partner in reaching vulnerable children.
Pastor Lena Kulakova & Yura
Programme leaders, Zhytomyr
Lena and her husband Yura run the feeding programme day to day, creating a safe and welcoming space for children in their community. Through their kitchen and their church, they offer nourishment for body and spirit.
